A trusted manager of real estate investment offerings
Founded in 2006 in Rochester, N.Y., by Norman Leenhouts and Amy and Robert Tait, Broadstone Real Estate is a full-service real estate company that serves as the sponsor of three investment offerings and manages commercial and residential properties across 42 states and Canada. Our lines of real estate management include:
- Broadstone Net Lease, Inc. – a publicly reporting, privately offered Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) that invests in freestanding, single-tenant, absolute net-leased properties located throughout the United States. Broadstone Net Lease, LLC, the REIT’s operating company, holds an investment grade credit rating (Baa3 with a stable outlook) from Moody’s. The REIT currently owns 662 healthcare, industrial, retail, and office properties in 42 states and Canada.
- Broadtree Residential, Inc. – a private Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) designed to provide a turnkey solution for accredited investors and institutions seeking income and capital appreciation via investment in a diversified portfolio of multifamily apartment communities.
- Broadstone Real Estate Access Fund – a continuously offered, closed-end interval fund registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940 that deploys investor capital into a diversified pool of actively managed real estate holdings. Also known as an interval fund, this structure blends investments in direct, individual real estate transactions; private real estate funds; and public real estate securities. In turn, investors may benefit from the access and diversification afforded by the Fund, along with quarterly liquidity and daily pricing features.
A different kind of firm
Broadstone believes that the most important word in our business is “trust.” Which is why our management style is as vital to success as our investing strategy. We work to build lasting relationships with tenants, brokers, lenders and business partners. We keep the conversation open and honest.
And, of course, we take investors seriously, too. Real estate is a very capital intensive business, so serving our investors is critical to our growth. We carefully select acquisitions to generate and preserve shareholder wealth, while providing a consistent and predictable stream of current income.
A family tradition
The Leenhouts family entered the real estate industry in 1967, laying the foundation for a business that has continued to flourish. Today, new generations of the family have continued that legacy, preserving a tradition of service and investment excellence that has lasted more than 40 years.
An uncommon mission
Broadstone provides exceptional real estate management services by placing a strong emphasis on understanding our customers’ needs, both as investors and as tenants. Our experienced team is committed to doing what we say we will do, conducting business with integrity, and continuing to provide perspective gained from many decades of regional and national experience, in several property types and through both public and private ownership structures.
